Patrick

Patrick McElduff

Principal Statistician

 

Professor Patrick McElduff has been a statistician for over 20 years and until recently was the Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Newcastle. He has been an author on approximately 200 peer-reviewed publications most of which were in international journals including the BMJ, Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine. He has worked in a range of areas including public health, disease registers and clinical trial units both in Australia and in the UK.

Joel Tuccia

Having worked as clinically for over 10 years, Joel joined Health Policy Analysis in early 2015. Clinically, Joel worked across public, private and not for profit sectors and is still highly regarded physiologist in the areas of Diabetes, its comorbid conditions, and the cardiometabolic health of individuals with psychosis.  Joel holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiology), a Master of Science (Rehabilitation), and is a currently a Juris Doctoral candidate at the Macquarie University Law school. Zac

Zac Davies

Data scientist

 

Zac has a Bachelor of Science from UNSW (Genetics & Molecular Biology) which he quickly followed with an Honours (First Class) at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. His research at the Garvan focussed on computational biology and analysis of Parkinson’s Disease. In completing this research, Zac not only Achieved First Class Honours but produced a statistical package in R (blkbox) which is now hosted on the CRAN repository.
Even at this early stage in his career, Zac has amassed significant experience in a wide range of data analysis techniques, particularly the use of machine learning algorithms in analysing complex datasets. Whilst studying prior to his employment at Health Policy Analysis, Zac also worked part-time as a pharmacy assistant for seven years.

Anne Jayamaha

Dr Anne Jayamaha MBChB (Hons), LLB (Hons), MPA

Consultant

 

Anne is a medical doctor and consultant to Health Policy Analysis. Anne works as a registrar in anaesthesia at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is also a registrar in intensive care medicine.

Anne has a degree in medicine (MBChB (Hons)) from the University of Birmingham in the UK and has a wide range of health care experience, having worked in both large teaching hospitals in major cities and rural hospitals. Anne also holds a degree in Law (LLB (Hons)) and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) both gained in the UK, as well as extensive experience managing a not-for-profit organisation, through her work as a board member for the UK charity Students for Kids International Projects, facilitating child health and welfare projects in developing countries.
