Evaluation of aged care workforce reform project

Health Workforce Australia, 2012

Health Policy Analysis was engaged by Health Workforce Australia (HWA) to undertake a national evaluation of the aged care workforce reform project. The national evaluation was conducted from July 2012 to February 2013.

Twenty-six projects have been funded across Australia. The national evaluation team developed a national evaluation framework and associated templates, conducted a comprehensive literature review covering all aspects of the innovations being implemented by the 26 projects, obtained research ethics approval for the project, collected data for the baseline, mid-evaluation and final data collection phases, conducted around 150 interviews during site visits over the period of the evaluation, and prepared interim and mid-evaluation reports. The summary report was published by HWA and can be found here.
