Information Plan for Safety and Quality for 2014-2017

Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, 2014

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) engaged Health Policy Analysis to update its Information Plan for Safety & Quality, to align with its Work Plan 2014-2017. The purpose of the Information Plan is to describe the Commission’s responsibilities and contribution to achieving standardised, accurate and timely information on safety and quality of health care arising out of initiatives detailed in its Work Plan for the corresponding period.

Health Policy Analysis developed the Commission's initial Information Plan for Safety & Quality (previously known as the Data Plan) for 2013-2016. This update involved consultation with the Commission's executive and each directorate within to identify priorities and obtain further details on aspects of the work plan involving indicator development, data development, analysis and interpretation of information and publishing and reporting. The Plan is then reviewed by the Commission's Interjurisdictional Committee and the Board prior to it being published.
