HPA was engaged to review data submitted for the Aged Care Quality Indicators (QIs) and advise on approaches to statistical analysis of the QIs. The aims of the project were to:
- Establish and implement a data cleansing/validation methodology for the indicators.
- Evaluate the statistical validity of the indicators.
- Develop a national report template, which will include comparison of peer groups.
- Provide advice on communicating the results of data analyses in an engaging way for an audience that includes both service providers and the public.
